I’m so pumped for a 3rd season of Re:Zero. I know a lot of people think there are too many Issekai anime but I think this one is head and shoulders better than the rest.

I’m concerned about the adaptation running out of material for subsequent seasons. We’re currently past the official translation’s point but this also depends on pace.
My understanding is, like many light novels, there's already a completed web novel but that's not going to be useful for the anime. The way it usually works is: Author creates a popular web novel...
My understanding is, like many light novels, there's already a completed web novel but that's not going to be useful for the anime.
The way it usually works is:
Author creates a popular web novel
Publisher says they want author to work with an editor and rewrite the story into a (usually) more cohesive light novel
Series gets big so studios want to create an anime and/or mangaka want to make a manga
Sometimes you get filler or just anime-original story arcs when the adaptations run out of source material to adapt. Nowadays it's more common to wait for the source material to release more content to adapt. Notably, MHA is currently waiting for the manga to finish before the next season airs.

Is it a problem to be ahead of the translated source material? Or is this a GoT situation?
