Any Spy x Family fans in the house? I’ve yet to start it out but it is one of those rare things: something people want to draw pictures of on Danbooru that is actually an anime.

Spy x Family isn't the type of anime I typically watch but I've been expanding my horizons and watching more slice of life/iyashikei titles lately. It's fun, cute and more lighthearted with a bit of action sprinkled in here and there. I'm a fan of Yor since I tend to gravitate to female characters that can kick some ass. Looking forward to season 2!

It's written more as a weekly than by arc, so the overarching plot moves at a rather glacial pace but that doesn't hurt the pacing per episode at all.

*I really dislike siscon type characters.

Ah yes, I almost forgot. I personally felt like that was easy to ignore. I'd be perfectly happy if that one element just kinda...went away. Wouldn't miss it, that's for sure!

It's such a jarring experience. Every character is relatively normal, especially so for Japanese anime standards, and then you have this character with a bizarre attraction to his sister. I thought this was a show for all ages.. but this implies otherwise.

It's so unfortunate too, because the actual tension between the Loid and Yuri is great. When it's not about his sister.

You're right that it's easy to ignore but I wouldn't miss it either. I think it's easily the worst aspect of the show.

For what it’s worth, Loid, Fiona, and Yuri did have a spectacular prolonged game of cat and mouse in the latest chapters of the manga.

Yep! Spy x Family is so wholesome and fun, the best way to enjoy it is knowing what you're in for. It's all about the fun and silly episodic stories, the light romance, light action, beautiful character designs and... that's mostly it. Don't expect the most perfect anime ever, don't read into the hype, instead just lean back and relax and expect to smile and go aww.

Yes! It's such a fun, relaxing, and sweet show. I'm so happy to have a whole new season to look forward to. And I agree the new opening is so cool and stylish!

I enjoyed it a lot. Fun and light hearted as others have said. It’s a show that doesn’t require your full attention, which is a plus as, though it might be sacrilege to some, the dub is great....

I 100% prefer Loid’s English va to the Japanese one, the dub really is great!

It's one of the few animes I can get my wife to watch with me, so glad it is back. It's absolutely adorable, wholesome and funny.

Yuri is a bit much, but Loid makes up for it by being one of the best anime dads since Maes Hughes, even if he’s doing it accidentally.
