What have you been watching and reading this week? You don't need to give us a whole essay if you don't want to, but please write something! Feel free to talk about something you saw that was cool, something that was bad, ask for recommendations, or anything else you can think of.

Watching some of the seasonal stuff, favorite thus far for the season is Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!. I read some of the web novel and enjoyed it a couple years back, but didn't keep up with the translation so I'm now behind like 200 chapters. BABYLON and Granblue Fantasy S2 are decent, Babylon I haven't watched enough to make a decision on and Granblue is just kinda more of the same. If you played the game or watched the first season, you know what your getting. Along with continuing some of last season's shows of course.

Manga wise; the first serialized chapter of Onizuka-chan to Sawarida-kun came out, loving that thus far from what I saw in the pivix version. But my favorite currently is Machikado Mazoku, loved the anime enough to make me go read the manga. Wish more anime were good enough to make me want to read the manga to see the story continue, unfortunately most aren't really for me. Also can't praise This Girl is a Little Wild enough, I love the characters in this Manhwa. It has issues with framing and pacing a bit at times, but most of the time it is really good.

Speculation and Gushing for the series

MM kind of walked this line between cute fluffy stuff going on, to "you know, that's pretty messed up" so well that could just as easily see it being super fluffy and light as much as I could see it really doubling down on the light clan/dark clan stuff and their relationship stirring up something really ugly with conventional magical girl society, and I would probably be just as satisfied either way.

Last week I watched Weathering With You in theatres. Really enjoyed this movie. Those visuals were mind blowing and Tokyo cityscape looked amazing and Shinkai managed to capture the entire city in this movie not only from ground but from the high skies too. Each and every single of these shots were breathtaking.

I would highly recommend people here to watch Africa no Salaryman's English dub on Funimation. The English VA's have done amazing job and just from first episode, I dare say that this show is massively underrated in comedy department of this season.

I'm also trying to catch-up with Jojo Golden Wind. It's a great series, but it can get tiresome sometimes. Especially because, in this season, they simply have a way too powerful healer. So any dismembering and fatal blow are never too dramatic. With one exception, but that's a spoiler.

The whole mafia theme seems gratuitous, TBH. It doesn't feel like a mafia story, it feels like Jojo in Italy. It's good, but it's not mafia. I don't get Godfather feels.

    Still very entertaining.

I'm still 7 episodes behind, hoping to close the gap this week.
