This is a coincidence! I'm currently re-reading the omnibus 'The World of Jeeves', and I also started watching the DVDs of Stephen Fry's and Hugh Laurie's 'Jeeves & Wooster'. And now this. I know...

Ah well, at least I can mark my calendar now so I don't miss By Jeeves. It's one I haven't ever seen, so I am kinda excited about finally being able to. Thanks for sharing this, @Algernon_Asimov!

p.s. I edited the title to add the date/time of the release for people.

I thought the 'Phantom' video was from an English production. It was the sequel, 'Love Never Dies', which was an Australian production.

So that people don't have to read the article for themselves?

The broadcast will be the version of the show recorded for its 25th anniversary at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011, starring Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom and Sierra Boggess as Christine. -Source

The condescension is really not appreciated, or warranted IMO. The headline as it was made it seem like it might be available to watch right now, which it's not. Adding the date/time clears that up, and can also help remind people later of when it actually is airing in case they want to watch it.

It's just a few extra words and yet could potentially clear up any confusion and save people some effort later. Why must you question absolutely everything people do on this site? I'm just trying...

I'm just trying to help people, as I myself was a bit confused (and disappointed) by the headline at first too.

Because I see people doing stupid things, inefficient things, illogical things, and things to encourage laziness. Why would I not question that?

Why not? Because those actions being "inefficient, illogical, and encouraging laziness" is just your opinion, not objective fact... and constantly questioning people's every action in such a condescending manner is annoying as hell, and can potentially drive people off the site as a result!

Some people, myself included, appreciate having more clarity in headlines, and being saved a bit of effort in the future in case we need to find certain information again later. But what I and many others don't appreciate is receiving incredibly snide remarks and looked down upon by you every time we do something you deem inappropriate, especially when we're often just trying to help people (yourself included in many cases)!

Because it's tiresome and rude, and you often put forward your own opinion as though it were a hard fact. I can certainly believe that it could cause people to be driven off the site - I think...
