So this is a review of a book written awhile back by Pulitzer Prize winner Richard Russo, author of Empire Falls. I really liked this book better. It's probably somewhat autobiographical, but that just makes it better.
There may be better reviews, to me the book is much better than the review hints at. A witty, intelligent college professor in a small town basically trolls everyone with his dry humor. Sort of a more believable story along the lines of White Noise, by Don DeLillo (another great book.)
I might pick it up, even though it's not something I usually go for. I always enjoy wit, especially when I can use it in conversation and pass it off as my own intelligient personality shining through. No promises I'll buy it, however.
