I'm a lefty in software engineering so I'm a little bit compelled to note that from my CTRL-F searching I noticed there's not much classic leftist theory or literature on this list. A fool's hope, I guess.
There being one book about Henry Kissinger in the list but it's "Kissinger: The Idealist" by the very unpleasant right-winger Niall Ferguson is also a weird choice.
If the list was at least group into categories I'd be a lot easier to read through.
