At the risk of tripping the "what is ~anime for" argument again, this is an enormous deal as Tapas is one of the major competitors stateside to Webtoon, and with them out of the picture, there's one less place to jump ship if things don't work out on that platform or you want to search for greener pastures. Maybe Globalcomix, but very different demographic there.

This leaves Webtoons completely unchecked, as there is no other big central webtoon platform to my knowledge.
I really think decentralization is key moving forward (artists hosting their own stuff), but I know that artists struggle to make themselves seen without a bigger platform, so I won't pretend it's an easy problem to solve.
Really not looking forward to the Webtoons monopoly.
