Highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get into the field

How introductory is this book? Currently, I'm studying to pursue a career in a data-related field. So far, I have read a general introductory book on probability and statistics (which does cover up the topics presented in the mentioned book) and another one specifically focused on Bayesian analysis and Generalized linear models (Statistical Rethinking). My next plan is to delve into "The Elements of Statistical Learning," which has been recommended everywhere. After that, I intend to explore some freelancing opportunities. However, it might be beneficial to further strengthen my theoretical foundation by studying this recommended book, especially since it appears to apply the presented concepts practically with programming languages. But I fear that I could be losing some time (that I can not afford to lose) by going around the same things I've already seen...

I find it amusing that after all these years they'd insisted on ISL in R, they finally relented and made a python version.
