I have previously posted some comments (and been tagged in some!) about my work on Notado.

Notado was originally my own personal archive for every piece of text I'd ever found interesting (and after years of using it, it is a veritable creative tinderbox!), which I later opened up to other users.

Since I built this from the ground up for my own needs, it is a little bit different to other services in this area of software and it likely isn't for everyone. However, for the people with whom this approach clicks, it really clicks.

This post is my yearly update on the state of the project, the recent challenges with API price gouging tactics from Twitter and Reddit, and the announcement of a new automated full-page source archiving feature.

I have made some detailed technical comments about how Notado is run on here previously, and I'm happy to answer most technical questions about running Notado as a one-man-SaaS if there are any.

Hello, I came across Notado and find it very interesting!

I was wondering if it had accompanying mobile apps (iOS) in my case. I read the website and tried searching but I couldn’t find any definitive answer to this.

Thanks for reading and thanks for the cool app.

There aren't any mobile apps, but you can install the iOS shortcuts so that when you read comments you like on any of the supported services (including Tildes!) you can long-press the permalink to get a "Save Comment to Notado" option on the share sheet. The iOS shortcuts also let you highlight text on any web page in Safari and then click the share button at the bottom of the browser to "Send Highlight to Notado".

Oh okay! That’s handy. Is that available once you login? I don’t see it the shortcut in the home page.

Yeah it's available after login (because the shortcuts require a user-specific key to make sure things get saved to each user's individual account 😅)
