Rip and replace Macbook Air?
I have two Macbook Airs that don't work. One is a A1932 (bad motherboard) and the other is a A2337 (I think a bad screen - it's cracked). Is it possible to take the motherboard from the 2337 and use it in the case of the 1932 (connected to that screen)? I understand the 1932 is an Intel Chipset and the 2337 is an M1 chipset, but would that really matter for what I'd like to do?
According to the site I've linked below, the screens on the M1 models are different enough to not be compatible with the Intel models. Even if the connectors are the same, the wiring could be different. However, if you've got nothing to lose with these machines, it can't hurt to try.

There's a possibility using the wrong screen with different wiring could short out the mainboard.
If OP knows the screen is bad, the best course of action is to simply buy a replacement screen that is compatible.
Ya, @artvandelay suggests OP may have nothing to loose, but the M1 is still working despite the bad screen.
If they don't fix it OP could sell it as semi-functional or they could use it as a sort of desktop. The M1 version is fast enough that the latter wouldnt be a waste of time.
You're right, I think I just misread what they were saying. OP should follow @Akir and their advice.
