Polymath is a toolkit that glues together other obscure projects to build an end-to-end workflow for breaking music tracks into their component parts, converting those parts to MIDI, and auto-detecting track features like primary key and BPM.
In my limited testing, it’s easy to set up and works about as well as one could hope.
This is the coolest/most-underrated FOSS project I’ve ever found in the wild. I don’t even have a practical use case for it (except maybe karaoke/guitar practice?) - but its existence brings me great joy. Amazing how small clusters of people can build truly unique and SOTA things for themselves with so little fanfare. If y’all know of other projects in this spirit (not necessarily music-related), I’d love to see them!
This looks cool! I'd like to hear some samples of what it can do.
