    They take 0 commissions? What's their business model then? Just attracting more customers for related services?

    Sounds cool but I've never had any problem with scummy tactics from Amazon. I guess I dodged a bullet by not picking one of the more common companies like godaddy.

      Godaddy is absolutely terrible and I honestly think the only reason they are still in business is by name recognition alone allowing them to prey on Nascar viewers and other non-technical people...

      Godaddy is absolutely terrible and I honestly think the only reason they are still in business is by name recognition alone allowing them to prey on Nascar viewers and other non-technical people who don't know any better.

      I have had a number of issues with godaddy myself over the years. E.g. Transferring of domains from them to another host on behalf of some clients, which was a massive PITA due to their website being total garbage with basic functions (like said domain transfers and disabling domain locks) buried in the interface. There were also so many weird days long delays that went along with the transfer requests that no other registrar/host suffers from. It was absolutely infuriating.
