    I think it's probably worth mentioning DAT and the Beaker Browser. They have a stronger focus on recreating the feel of the web in a peer-to-peer fashion. Constructing a custom browser means there has been a lot of effort on making explicitly the web use-case feel smooth. For instance, here are the instructions for hosting a static site on DAT.

    It has some other nice things as well, specifically that a site is referenced by public key, not by hash (though there are hashes under the hood for immutability), which means links to the site automatically update.

    This post on someone's experience hosting a site on DAT made it to the Hacker News front page concurrently with the OP article. They seemed to have had a much easier time!

    I've used the Beaker Browser for a while now, and have really enjoyed the community there!
