    Off-topic, but on topic with 404 pages, I am quite a fan of https://notfound.org/en, which turns your 404 page into a missing people ad. It does look ugly, but at least it is not a complete waste...

      Nice idea, but ideally an error page should be an error page, and requiring 3rd party material in there, not only media but also JS, is a really bad idea. Anybody wants to support something like...

      Nice idea, but ideally an error page should be an error page, and requiring 3rd party material in there, not only media but also JS, is a really bad idea.

      Anybody wants to support something like this, do it in 2xx or 3xx pages instead, put it somewhere in your layout, ideally as a link.

        I agree the implementation is sub-par, esp. with the 3rd party JS, but have no better idea apart from maybe as 204.
