    There was a post about this on Lobsters as well and the creator of Powerlevel10k provides some neat comments over there.

    I switched to Powerlevel10k from Powerlevel9k yesterday and the speed increase is quite nice. I actually had not been taking advantage of many of Powerlevel9k's features, so the benefit of switching for me is minimal, but Powerlevel9k also does not seem to be a very active.

    The ability to just use Powerlevel10k as a drop-in replacement makes switching very easy as well.

    Neat project.

      Thank you for linking, I should have mentioned the thread as it is where I found it also. I'm jumping ship from the pure prompt which is a very bare bones zsh theme and am amazed at how snappy...

      I'm jumping ship from the pure prompt which is a very bare bones zsh theme and am amazed at how snappy this is while being able to keep my aesthetic preferences.

    If you use Zsh, try it out. It's so fast and I don't know how. I guess I've been preconditioned to expect these things to run like garbage.
