This is a talk my brother gave a few years ago at a conference. I think its a very thoughtful (and funny) look into the ethics of software development.
The ethics course I took in college for my computer science degree was miserable, which is sad because the university I went to is renowned for an excellent computer science program. I don't think my situation is unique, and I think diving deeper into "why should we care about ethics in the first place?" is helpful.
Also, sorry if you enjoyed The Dark Tower as a movie. It kinda gets torn to shreds in this talk.
Haven't had time to fully watch this yet, but should I throw a spoiler tag on this topic with regard to The Dark Tower, or does he avoid giving too much away? Edit: Finished watching... It kinda...

Edit: Finished watching... It kinda does touch on a few spoilery things, but I don't think they're so bad as to warrant a spoiler tag. If anyone disagrees, I can add it later though.
p.s. That was really funny and your brother's arguments were well presented/reasoned. He is a great speaker!
