I don't work with computers or anything related to it, but I like electronics as a hobby. I found Ben Eater's videos a while ago and I really liked the idea of building something from scratch (I have already toyed with z80s and similars).

Life is getting on the way and I've been slow to follow through, having only made the clock module, but I look forward to continue working on this :)

I always wanted to do that but never got to do it because of college.

This looks like fun. I've been interested in this kind of thing for awhile but never took the plunge.

I also recommend Code. Very, very solid explanation of the fundamentals.

Edit: Can you either link or supply more information about the book? I have no clue which book it is based on the title "Code" alone. Code: The secret language of computers? If not, who is the author?

What I meant was "I, too, recommend this book" not "here's a different book that I recommend". Sorry, should have worded that better!
