I don't know how I'd describe what I'm looking for exactly. The articles were usually pretty philosophical. They usually raised different observations related to computer science. Some had various anecdotes or life experiences. Usually the articles were related to programming in some ways, but they didn't contain any lines of code.
The site itself also had a really simple design which I think worked really well to convey the subjects covered.
There's this blog which has a similar feel in a lot of articles along with a similar article length: https://shawnhargreaves.com/blogindex.html. No new articles after 2015 though. :(
