The difference in ability between the smartest people in the world and just the average person is always incredibly amazing to me. This is just wonderful.
In engineering, we talk about 10x'ers. 10 times more productive than the average. I think that's an understatement. Most hard engineering is done by very few people and can't be completed at all by the average engineer.
Of course, this is why we have engineers taking on multiple jobs. The 10x'ers are not getting paid 10x for their extra productivity.
