      Yes, it's acrylic. I'm glad you like the texture! I don't know much about painting yet either, and this was my first attempt at using the texture of the paint, not just the colours.

    I'm with /u/eladnarra -- I really like that the paint itself brings the texture of the moon into the 3D realm. I dig it!
