What about AsteroidOS excites you? I have a compatible watch and am looking for a reason to try it.
I've used the original LG G Watch, the LG G Watch Urbane, and the Wear24.
I currently switch off between the Urbane and the Wear24, they are both pretty much current in software and performance but will probably not get any more updates.
I hear the LG Style can be had for a pretty great price nowadays, and it's a fairly recent watch.
I haven't ever had a pebble but I have had multiple smart watches, the battery lives on most of the popular Android Wear watches last a couple days at most, which will probably not be much coming from a pebble watch. If you're willing to live with that, there are plenty of options to choose from, some cheaper than others.
I'm just comparing the fact that it popularizes it. Obviously school shootings are objectively bad and shouldn't be popularized while the ideas discussed in the article are less obvious, which think is the point you are trying to make.
I still think there's a difference between controversial and outright hateful, they don't give an interview to someone to let them just spew hatred, they interview someone who is controversial to share their views and outlook.
From an earlier reply.
They don't often interview murderers to explain how murder is ok, they don't often interview self proclaimed racists to explain how racism is a good thing.
Ugh, I hate stupid UX designs!
Right, it's the minimalism of the site keeping it quick more than anything else.
So they can only have an agenda about Nazis and nothing else?
AMA is obviously a special case, but if I can understand or have experience with computational physics and am genuinely interested in discussion, why shouldn't I be able to just visit and ask a question or comment just like on ~books.somethingor.other?
I'm obviously not suggesting someone be allowed to randomly enter ~science.physics.computational and spout nonsense, just like I wouldn't suggest it for any other group. Again, less fragmentation.
Let's just wait until we get the search option before we turn the site into a wiki...
Good question, Google my answer.
Covering bad/wrong things, yes. Interviewing and giving a platform to express those things, not as much.
I really hope that's not the direction Tildes plans on going, I'd really like to be able to visit any group and feel at home rather than having to avoid them.
There are other factors keeping this site fast other than lack of advertising greed...
Whether Trump can pardon himself has come up in the past as well.
Are you suggesting those that do not want to see fluff can only be interested in discussing the news?
Can't there be a balance where those that don't want to see fluff can be interested in discussing topics that have been discussed by others in the past?
Those are some ideas that will solve some of the problems, I don't think any one person has the solution to all problems.
The post about group CSS got me thinking, if the identity of groups are allowed to develop enough it could become like reddit were you can't expect a consistent experience across the site, you'll have to know the etiquette of each group you visit, do they allow jokes here, only links or only text, not going off topic etc.
How far should/will it go?
There's a saying that goes something along the lines of "There's nothing new under the sun", but I'd rather discuss topics that have been discussed in the past, than see fluff that has been seen in the past (see reddit).
Nice, thanks for clarifying!
