    I have a senryu for you:

    On a warm, clear night,
    The children are exhausted.
    Doze off to TV.

      Watching fireworks. Waiting for the world to end. We'll start again soon.

        Months pass by quickly
        As I forget my short loss.
        One day, "new update!"

      Oh interesting, this has me thinking that you pronounce “tildes” with two syllables? I suppose I’ve never really thought about it because it’s always written, but I think I pronounce it as one...

        There was a thread on this way back when, and it seems like there is some variation. I tend to say "till-days", so two syllables.

      Kicking, pattering,
      Little ones in the back seat;
      Too soon, they will drive.

      Laughing tots plop down,
      Lost in a succulent dish.
      Satisfied silence.
