The melody breeder as the starting point is something that I actually found more interesting than the game of life, though the musical game of life was very cool. I would love to see an interactive game of life that you could experiment with that did something like this. I appreciate that he put effort into making the music concordant and in a normal range, unlike something like listen feature on The OEIS which bothers me.
