I'm working on an English Paper Piecing project (EPP for short). I'm finally at the stage where I'm hand-sewing each piece together. I tried it on a sewing machine, and it didn't work out like I had hoped, so I'm trying to stitch for about an hour in the evenings while Mr. Tired plays video games or we're just watching tv.

I didn't realize I would enjoy stitching the fabric together so much by hand; I've always been a hater of hand-sewing lol.

I'm having an issue with the fabric laying flat, and I think if I get enough pieces together, it will eventually fix itself, but it's just annoying to look at right now.

I'm also working on two embroidery projects - one I keep in the car for when I have nothing better to do and I'm waiting for an appointment or Mr. Tired is driving and we're stuck in traffic, and the other is one I'm making at home and just ran out of motivation to work on once I got to the leaves in the design.

I still have my blanket of doom that I'm knitting, but given it is around 100* F around these parts, I refuse to knit that monstrosity.

The last project I have at the moment is to reorganize my office so my 3D printer can fit on my desk with my sewing machine, serger, and Liene 3-in-1 while still having space to actually work and clear off my cutting and ironing table of all of the mending projects that I have to finish. I need an adult to help me with that one lol.

Not sure if I should post it here or in the tech/comp topic. Anyway, I've started a new RPG campaign using the Scum and Villainy rules/setting. I wanted the players to have an easy way of creating characters and get a feel for the setting since most haven't played in it before. So I started making a small webb page that essentially started out as an SVG image of the Procyon sector where you could see some small blurbs about each location. You can navigate around the sector zooming in on the animated systems etc... But, then I kind of went over board and set up character and ship creation, tracking of factions, contacts and clocks... Nothing is hosted anywhere, it is all stored in the browser. I also added a nice import/export feature that lets players export a png file with an image of their character and a summary of them. The anyone can then import that image (e.g. drag and drop in the site). The image metadata contains all the associated info! I thought it was pretty nice to be able to share an pc e.g. over discord and everyone can then see an overview! I also made my own localization attempt for names and such into Swedish. It's fun to pick a few tounge in cheek translations that don't quite match the original literal translation. However I think mine captures the essence well in a few cases, e.g. the starship Straylight is called Irrbloss.

The site was built for desktop, but some adjustments have been made to it to support mobile. It can be added as an app via the ... menu in chrome on Android at least.

I'm considering if I shouldake the effort to rework all the artwork (it was promoted via nanobanana and a local diffusion model), but not sure since it's just as tiny hobby project for me and my friends...

Reorganizing my web domains and sites and trying to decide exactly what to keep/toss/reorg both to save money on domains and to just rethink through what I want on my sites.

Messing around with unfamiliar mediums (pixel art).

More work on my music projects and related visuals. I love messing with the Glitch Studio app on iOS to toss in some images and then output gifs/videos/images of all sorts of wild multi-layered glitch and deterministic "generative" (but not in the AI sense) visuals/edits. I often end up with some really neat new artworks out of the process (here's an example)

Made a glitchy 30 second animated loop of artwork with my death/black industrial/noise music in the background so i could post a snippet on social media. Used that same app for that.

Took self portraits of me yelling into a microphone while playing my bass, in my home studio where band merch covers the walls, then used the glitch app to make some dithered and fun versions of those images.

    Been a good few days.

This week I realized I have enough time to knit a pair of socks for my friend to wear on his wedding day in late October so I started on that. Picking a colour combo that will complement his outfit nicely was a bit tricky at first, especially since I was relying on pictures and am unable to see any of the colours in person so getting an accurate colour match is impossible and being slightly off would just look bad. But I got a good colour and am about halfway done the ankle of the first sock (my pattern is leg down). Probably by the next occurrence of this topic I will have done enough that I am willing to share pictures
