Kimmo pls
I remember finding Blastwave and TGSA way back in my Digg days. TGSA has been dead for ages, and occasionally I'm surprised to still see Blastwave posts. I've become absolutely spoiled by webcomic full-timers.
I used to follow a bunch of WC's but over the years storylines end, updates fade, hiatuses become permanent.
I don't follow very many WC's these days. Really only about four:
Alfie is a webcomic that attempts mixing plot and porn. It's a story about a remote halfling village coming in contact with humans for the first time. NSFW, incredibly well drawn, incredibly well written.
Go Get a Roomie follows the wild adventures of an upbeat hippie, living her life in love and joy. (And beer and sex.) You'll get to meet her various other friends, all as lovely and bonkers as she may be. Soft NSFW, Slice of life. cute af, queer af.
QuestionableContent is an internet comic strip about romance and robots. SFW, slice of life. (mentioned in the article)
Want to hear something kinda crazy? Kimmo gets $1050/mo on Patreon for Blastwave... which means he is basically making ~$2200 per comic at the rate he puts them out. Don't get me wrong, I think...

Don't get me wrong, I think that's awesome and well deserved... it just surprised the heck out of me when I found out, since I didn't realize there were that many hardcore Blastwave fans out there willing to shell out for it.
Oh, wow. I have never seen anyone cosplaying Blastwave ever... that's super cool! I used to attend a decent amount of Cons back in the day but have never really cosplayed myself (other than...

And that's cool you supporting Kimmo/Blatwave... I support a bunch of YouTube content producers (and Tildes) on Patreon as well. But I dunno if I can justify doing it for Blastwave though, especially because of how long there is between releases. Maybe if he switched to the "$X per release" model that other content producers who take longer than a month to release stuff do, e.g. Primitive Technology... then I might start throwing a couple buck in.
The last Subnormality comic was released 19 September 2017 (I just checked my RSS feed)... Even though I would love to be proven wrong, I think at this point that qualifies as RIP. I will have to...

I will have to check out PeopleWatching though... I have never heard of it before. If Winston is involved then at least the art will be great. Thanks for letting me know about it.
Hah... if that's the case, then watching first season may have to be a week-long endeavor. I can only take so much heartache per day before my brain melts. :P In any case thanks for introducing me...

In any case thanks for introducing me to it. It definitely feels like Subnormality the animated series... so it's no wonder you didn't realize he hadn't posted a new comic in such a long time.

Some other ones I miss (RIP) that were not mentioned in this article:
8-bit theater
Hyperbole and a Half (Her book is fantastic as well, BTW)
VG Cats
The Adventures of Dr. McNinja
Hark! A Vagrant
Subnormality
Axe Cop
Some others worth mentioning that are AFAIK still ongoing:
Oglaf (very very NSFW warning)
SinFest
Poorly Drawn Lines
The Oatmeal
Moonbeard
Jim Benton - AKA JimKB on reddit
Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal (SMBC) - AKA MrWeiner on reddit
Lunarbaboon
Gone With the Blastwave (very sporadic, but incredible art)

and Oglaf, which you've mentioned above.

Aaron Diaz maybe isn't quite as bad, but he makes four times as much. Some creators are just naturally divisive and create extreme reactions.

Aww, damnit... why did you do this to me? That fist episode was wonderful but absolutely heartbreaking. :(

I got a bad feeling about where that is gonna go though (story wise). :(
