Hi guys! I thought I'd share some of my previous knit/crochet creations with you all! I made this lil bun a few years ago. Despite it's size and seeming simplicity, I still remember how much I struggled just to make this little guy! This was probably only about 6 months after I had relearned how to knit again. I had previously been taught by my grandmother when I was about 7 or 8. It was something I had been trying to get back into and finally made the decision for a writing class (go figure)!

I love looking back at the things I've created to examine my own growth. Or even to see if there are aspects I dislike about how I'm currently doing things! It's important to see how far along you've come as a creator and to also appreciate the time and effort that went into the work.

Edit: Sorry guys, I didn't realize you had to have an account to see the work! But here's a link to the pics themselves!

Thank you!! Yes, with both crochet and knit, there's a whole lot you can make! This lil bunny was made with knitting, though it's much more popular to make little stuffies with crochet! Part of it is because crochet is a more "forgiving" craft. Mistakes are easier to fix and it doesn't rely on sitting two needles the whole time. Popularly, small stuffed animals like this are referred to as amigurumi, which is Japanese and translates into "crocheted or knitted stuffed toy". It's a more encompassing term I think.

There are a lot of amazing things that incredibly skilled craft ers have made with both crochet and knitting! There's such a thing as micro crochet, where they crochet absolutely tiny Amigurumi, the size of your fingertip! Lots of cool stuff out there when you get into it!

Okay, I just couldn't resist googling that, because it sounds awesome... and it turns out it totally is! I can't imagine the level of patience and dexterity that would require. It must be insanely...

Okay, I just couldn't resist googling that, because it sounds awesome... and it turns out it totally is! I can't imagine the level of patience and dexterity that would require. It must be insanely difficult and probably incredibly tedious/frustrating. Crazy.

Yeah! It's absolutely bananas and I would love to give it a try!! Instead of using yarn, they use sewing thread. So teeny!
