A while ago I posted my short-film A Noite on this group.
At the time, I thought YouTube's automatic translation from Portuguese might be good enough for people to understand it. I was very wrong, as the auto translator only managed to create some unintelligible mambo-jumbo.
I finally had the time to make a proper manual translation — just select English on Subtitles after clicking the wheel on the YouTube player.
I'm certain someone asked me to be notified about this, but I cannot find who. So I'll guess @cfabbro and hope for the best.
It was me indeed. Thanks for taking the effort to add the subtitles, and for shooting me the mention! I will watch it again when I get some time a bit later today. :)

At about 7min:
I feel in love on the spot.
I though: "someday I'll teach him how to dance."
Should probably be "fell" and "thought", but other than that the subtitles all look good. And I love that scene, by the way. Their reminiscing being reflected in the actions around them while they lie in bed is great, as is the cut of slamming the door in his face. And related to your other comment about changing "to have sex" to "fuck", I agree it's better that way, and it makes the next line he says about what he "prefers" so much more brutal. Oof! I feel so bad for her. :(
Yes, the correct is "I fell in love". Thanks. But "someday I'll teach him how to dance." is Renata quoting herself, her thought from the past. "someday I'll teach him how to dance." seems...

From a psychoanalytical point of view, life cannot be endured without fantasy. In the end, Renata finds hers. I like to think that's a happy end!
Deep down Jorge is a great guy, and his main goal is to direct his partner towards the only happiness this world can give (just kidding hahaha).
Exactly why "though" should be "thought". ;) You and I have very different definitions of happy endings. LOL! Though I suppose it's ultimately better to know than not, and be fucked around on...

NP. And great short BTW. It was so much better with the subtitles than having to guess what was going on... or worse, relying on the auto-generated subs. E.g. from my old comment: Although that is...

"open eye right will say that he took the series I don't know of the road"
"Of course there was no lack of a crossbow"
Although that is kind of hilarious, in an absurdist way. :P
That could be a really funny concept for a channel. Record some dialogue, upload it to YouTube and have it auto-translate captions, then create and record a film based on the resulting output.

This was splendid! I watched a bit of it the last time you posted but was waiting for the English subtitles to fully see it through. Thanks for delivering on that for us English speakers! I really...

I really liked the mood you created throughout the film. It's very grounded for the most part but has a hint of surreality to it that gives it a very interesting texture. I also thought your use of black and white was nice both visually as well as thematically. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Also, a heads up to anyone watching: there is a short NSFW moment in the film, so be aware of that going in.
Ironically, the festival of "fucks" is not in the original. The word "transar" means literally "to have sex (with)", without other connotations. But I was unable to translate it to a single word,...

Besides, the "fucks" add some punch to the ending.
Fun fact: the tear in the last dialogue was not in the script. It just came out of the actress at a precise time. I didn't even notice it when it happened, other crew members pointed it out to me.

Great! Please let me know if there's anything weird in the subtitles.

Or maybe someone should make a bot to create absurd videos out of absurd YouTube subtitles...
I should shoot the story YouTube made up hahaha

to be precise.The
NSFW
is at03:42:00
and lasts two seconds. No otherNSFW
stuff.I didn't even notice it the first time I watched it, truth be told. But it is pretty NSFW, so I feel is prob still worthy of the tag, just in case. :P
