I've been working on a kind of "dark jazz" track (heavily inspired by Bohren & der Club of Gore), it still need a bit of work in the guitars, transitions and the ending. I asked feedback to a good pianist and got roasted.
I am into this, particularly the last half bass line! What's making the flanger-ish sounds in the middle?
Thanks for the feedback, you mean the noise at 1:05 ? That's some computer statics with a filter and LFOs/automations. At 2:25 the only new element is a slowed down, reversed guitar note.
I'm enjoying your music! Thanks for sharing.
I'm glad someone like it :)
Offtopic, but I wonder if the amount of people working on creative projects has gone up due to the quarantine, or down due to people being a bit too preoccupied to be creative?
I personally have been struggling to generate the motivation to even play video games these last few days, let alone be creative in any way, since I feel myself being glued to the news instead... and so I wonder if others are experiencing similar.
You should probably cut the news to a minimum, if you are already aware of what's going on it's not really helpful.
Yeah, that's probably a good idea, TBH. Thanks for the suggestion.
Made a 3D concept bust of Cernunnos, who is the Celtic god of hunting and forests, or something like that.

Made with ZBrush, xNormal, and Substance Painter. Rendered in Marmoset toolbag.
Otherwise just working on some stock illustrations to sell, and following along with a Scott Eaton tutorial for anatomy.
I have been picking away at getting my 7DRL entry, which is about being a hermit crab from nominally playable to the actual original concept.
Also, my five-year-old kid wrote a number-based song, and I provided guitar accompaniment.
Not really a project per se, but I am trying to start a drawing habit. So far so good. I have spent at least 30 minutes the last few days just sketching. Been trying to do simple things like shapes and shading. It's pretty ugly, but I am a beginner and it is super important to not get wrapped up into results right now.
