P.S: As for Serif fonts, I'm just a sucker for Garamond and Baskerville; so I'm super happy the former got a mention in the article !

I did something like this a while back. I went through all the Microsoft fonts, to decide which ones I found most readable, and which ones I would use as my default fonts for writing documents and emails. I settled on Verdana among the san-serif fonts and Georgia among the serif fonts. Since then, I tend to use Verdana for on-screen purposes, such as writing documents and emails. But I set my e-reader to use Georgia as the default font, because it feels more appropriate to read books in a serious serif font. And I've set my browser to use these fonts on all websites, so this comment is being written in Verdana. :)

Which font did you read the fastest? For me, it was the grotesque sans-serif. Given that this font was the best for me and Franklin Gothic was the best for 59 percent of participants in a study, I think I'll try using typefaces in this category for my work emails and when I'm reading an article on a screen.

I'm tinkering with the reader mode on Safari on iOS, and Seravek seems like a decent match for me.
