I love Practical Engineering. He often takes things I notice around me but never really give a second thought, and makes them interesting to learn about. The fact this particular video is now #50 on YouTube Trending is kinda mindblowing though, LOL. I could not have predicted that coming when he posted it the other day, especially given how mundane the subject matter is.

Was looking for a video on airlocks (the kind in spacecraft, underwater, or even something like RimWorld freezer airlocks) but came across Practical Engineering's What is Air Lock? instead. I ended up watching the entire thing anyway since it was pretty interesting.
Now, maybe through a combination of the Youtube Algorithm and the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon, I see more Practical Engineering. I guess I'm subscribing and watching more videos then.

I’m not an engineer, but after I watch one of his videos, I feel like one. That’s the mark of a good educational YouTube channel to me.

Later after seeing a thread about a Roebling device and the Roebling family from r/bestof make some mentions of caissons, I grew curious, when lo and behold How are Underwater Structures Built?
