That aside, I looked it up and found at least one photo published in other articles, showing a vet next to Hvaldimir's body. It didn't show the full body, but at bare minimum, there were small holes along his side.
That's just kind of stunning to me. Was this because of his supposed Russian ties, or some other reason? Either way, that just makes this downright tragic and infuriating.
