So is this actually a trade war at this point or did they just call it a trade war and people ran with it, so now we are just calling it a trade war? Or is it a legitimate trade war by definition?
As far as I understand, we're a couple of major decisions off of a full-blown trade war. I believe for it to really be considered a trade war, there would have to be some clear intention to harm the other country's economy. The warnings that the Trump administration has given recently, seem to indicate that they consider us a step or two away from starting the trade war ourselves.
