      I can't help feeling that, if it was money they actually needed, they shouldn't have invested it in something as wildly speculative as cryptocurrency. You don't take your food & bills & rent money...

      I can't help feeling that, if it was money they actually needed, they shouldn't have invested it in something as wildly speculative as cryptocurrency. You don't take your food & bills & rent money and go blow it on the horse races. This is about the same thing in my eyes.

      I want to be sympathetic, but this feels more like a case of sowing what you reap.

      They're just quoting an investor, rather than editing his words.

      particularly the HODLer bits. It's kinda wierd seeing a respectable paper like the New York Times reporting a meme quote like that.
