I hear ya and I'll likely not use Credit Karma any longer if/when this happens. I did switch to using freetaxusa.com this year to get away from Intuit and the likes. I realize the name seems sketchy. The folks over at /r/personalfinance mentioned it so I am giving it a try this year for preparing my taxes. This is the specific Reddit thread I found the suggestion from multiple users if you want to read through and make your own decision. You can search within the post for freetaxusa to see the references. I haven't yet completed and filed my 2019 taxes yet so I can't give 100% feedback on their product but so far it's going well. Anyway maybe this will give you an alternative to Credit Karma if/when Intuit takes over.
Oh for fucks sake. I use Credit Karma's tax prep service specifically because they aren't Intuit/Turbo Tax.

Yeah, this isn't a good thing
I abandoned Mint after Intuit acquired them. I'd hate to lose Credit Karma too.
Intuit confirmed the acquisition today: https://investors.intuit.com/news/news-details/2020/Intuit-to-Acquire-Credit-Karma/default.aspx
