Yeah, that is part of the reason I have a hard time really celebrating news like this. Even though it's a step in the right direction and better than nothing, this whole process is somewhat fruitless so long as, like in this case, they have such long delays before they are fully implemented that the value is severely undercut. I will only truly feel like celebrating when someone finally passes an increase to the minimum wage that automatically adjusts every few years to keep pace with inflation/cost of living increases, as otherwise it's basically a losing battle.
