While obviously I will watch it all, it will be a profoundly sad experience having a full season released posthumously.
Following the premiere, Parts Unknown’s final season will include four more episodes shot on location in Asturias, Spain; Indonesia; West Texas; and Manhattan’s Lower East Side, as well as two specials. The first special episode, according to an official announcement, will cover “how Anthony Bourdain’s unique perspective and voice altered the world of food, travel, and culture and in the process reinvented how audiences watched television and engaged intimately and actively with the world around them.” The second will showcase “Bourdain’s relationship with his crew, the team that traveled with him and slogged through the trenches,” which was “like no other in his life.”
