    Thought this was an interesting article on the evolution of tiki drinks. I’ve always been put off by tiki bars and the tiki aesthetic in general because it’s always felt to be like a weird theme park version of Polynesian culture that never existed.

    I’m glad my suspicions turned out to be right! But I’m also glad it’s evolving into something less gross. The flavor profiles always struck me as a little too cloying, but I suspect a more authentic ingredients list will have more flavor as well.
