Longtime Sonic fan and video game reviewer Johnny reviews the latest Sonic game and first in 5 years. He was positive about Sonic's entry into the open world genre and very positive about Sonic's new, serious story, though he could point out a few flaws in the story and many in the open zones. Meanwhile the cyberspace levels with the classic sonic stages we're famiar with were just re-dos of levels from previous games, justified by it being Sonic's memories or something.
Johnny speculates this might be the last 'Boost' game and this serious, somber, open-world Sonic might be here to stay, which is a super melancholic thing, considering the Boost era is the one I'm familiar with and most enjoy and it only got like, 3 good games with Unleashed, Colors and Generations.
