Anyone remember playing this text based door game? I ran a mud board (majormud/mbbs) for about 5 years until last year, but i could never find infinity complex. That was until recently, i found a torrent with an old MBBS 6.25 including IC.
anyhow, i cant stop playing this, and im typing all commands manually. No macros as i can't find my copy of Telix. What is a good ANSI capable telnet client for Mint?
this game is more fun with groups of people. anyone interested? get off my lawn?
I don't remember Infinity Complex... but my favorites were never really the MUDs or adventure games. I preferred the kingdom/faction management + PvP war ones instead, like Space Dynasty or Solar Realms.
Incidentally, if you liked those same kind of BBS games too, Mehul Patel (the brother of the creator of Solar Realms) has a text based browser game heavily inspired by them called Utopia that is still going strong (+/- 500 active users) and I highly recommend it. I played it for good 8 years in total, but it's been about 5 years since I last played it. It really brought back a ton of good memories from the early BBS days and I still have a few good online friends I made during that time playing Utopia. :)
ill check it out... Infinity complex is purely a PVP arena
I've never heard of this one, what type of game was it?
I mostly remember playing LORD and Falcon's Eye for door games.
its a PVP arena, a giant building housing a team of NPCs (Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!). teams can be formed, create a base and then its a simple hunt and kill with various weapons.
its like a text based version of all those FPS that the kids play, in an "infinitely" large "complex"
