This is a tool assisted speedrun (TAS) of a Super Mario Bros 3 mod in honor of MitchFlowerPower, a famous SMB3 speedrunner. It takes what is normally an incredibly difficult challenge mod and cruises through it in a bit over 16 minutes.

One of my close friends is a somewhat popular speedrunner of NES games who holds a number of world records. I'd never been much into the concept personally, but after watching his stream a bit and hearing him talk about some of his methods and whatnot, I definitely gained a much deeper appreciation for what these people do than I would previously have thought possible.

For anyone interested in getting a glimpse of the speedrunning world, I'd suggest looking up Summoning Salt on YouTube. He has a ton of videos going over the world record progression history of various games, and watching one or two of them will be an educational experience. The history of Mario Kart 64 world records is probably my personal favourite, but they're all pretty good.
