Welp, what's there sure looks pretty... but I'm well past "anxiously awaiting" anything from any gaming studio.

Yeah and in particular in a post-CP2077-world, there's no way, no matter the review praise, I'll play this within ~1-2 years of release. Give them months and years of bugfixing before I even buy...

As an original kickstarter I’ll believe Sq42 is ready when it’s out, playable and reasonably stable. I still remember the vertical slice, the sand worm, the pyro demos, the official HOTAS etc etc....

As an original kickstarter I’ll believe Sq42 is ready when it’s out, playable and reasonably stable. I still remember the vertical slice, the sand worm, the pyro demos, the official HOTAS etc etc. If I’d known back in 2012 that they’d still be selling ships in 2023 (while leaving ships sold back in 2013 on the back burner) I’d never have backed. Dont even get me started on the plots of “land” they sold.
I don’t think of myself as a detractor. I hope they release and I’ll play the hell out of it if/when they do, but the toxic positivity of the community has gone way out of control and they’re primed to spend massive amounts on even the slightest news from the devs.

Edit: for whatever reason I went to check out the sub and holy moley. Anyone would think its already released to critical acclaim and also cured cancer.

I first jumped into SC back in 2016 when 2.0 dropped. I am still excited. If I can wait for The Winds of Winter, I can wait for this.

Nine years after the original release date of 2014! Didn't watch the 30 minute video, but it's space so I'm into it, hope the adventure is worth the wait.
