Fans of Megaten games. Any fans of the series here?

Megaten games is usually used to refer to the mainline games known as Shin Megami Tensei, but over time it has gone on to include "sub-series" such as Persona, Raidou Kuzunoha, etc.

Just wondering if there are any fans of the series here?

    I was back on PS2. DDS and Raidou were just so fun to play.

      Sadly, I haven't finished DDS yet. I need to play the second part still. Raidou is amazing and that's a lot coming from me considering that I generally dislike action rpgs.

        IMO the second DDS and the second Raidou are both better than the first ones. Raidou 2 had a different director and battle is pretty damned fun.

          I agree with the second Raidou statement, for sure. It is my favorite one of the Raidou universe. The battle system felt so satisfying. For me, I think a lot had to do with the ability to briefly...

For me, I think a lot had to do with the ability to briefly pause the battle to decide what I wanted to do. I've been thinking about playing it again lately since it has been so long.

    I've been a fan for a while now. got in with persona 3 and then played as much megaten as I could get my hands on, but there's still stuff that I haven't played yet just because of how much there is.

    I really enjoyed Shin Megami Tensei 4 as I commented in the 3DS thread, in spite of its frustrations. I've always really liked the Persona aesthetic and back in the day enjoyed watching my friends...

    I've always really liked the Persona aesthetic and back in the day enjoyed watching my friends play through Persona 3. However I somehow never played through one myself. Maybe it's knowing that you can't do everything (bonding with characters) in a single playthrough that turns me off from it? If Persona 5 came to PC I'm sure I'd buy it though. The promo material looks cool.

    Does Catherine count as a Megaten game? It's made by the same studio behind Persona. I really liked that one, but again could only motivate myself to do a single playthrough even though I wanted to see other endings.
