I have said before that my gameboy remains my go-to travel console with the playdate close behind. It will be great to be able to combine them.

The lack of color might throw me a bit, I will have to see.

      Update:

It plays great! No weird aspect ratio or speed issues that I noticed. The sound was fine, but I don't often have sound on to compare to.

The biggest criticism is that the dithering that is used for shading can sometimes make text hard to read. I don't know what they could even do about that, but it is a potential concern for games with small text. I didn't notice any concerning text in Pokemon Yellow, but the Pokemon TCG game has a fair bit of small text that got a bit mangled.

Here's an example of mangled text where it's supposed to say "trading card game" - https://i.imgur.com/EHBItL9.png

The issue is mostly on text on images, not text in text boxes.
