This is going to be buggy as hell at launch but I am still SO EXCITED. As a Chinese history buff, the number of strategy games where you get to play in East Asia is already very limited. The amount of games that let you play in East Asia AND interact with the West? Almost none (civ with modded maps and... Not much else?). Now my favourite grand strategy game is adding my dream scenario. I couldn't be happier!!

So one of my favorite things to do in CK3 is just build my kingdoms around islands. Corsica and Sardinia, Isle of Mann, Canary Islands, etc. But there aren't a lot of options for big concentration of islands. Byzantine holds the greek isles in all starting eras, the Mediterranean islands are all over the place, the Canaries are small and super isolated. But this expansion changes that! South east Asia is a ton of big, concentrated islands. And Japan is like the ultimate big chonky island. Cannot wait to hop my way east as Haesteinn and become an east Asian Viking Lord of the Isles.

Well the other Paradox games of course. But you're not wrong. It's very very limited.
