Erich Schaefer, Phil Shenk, and Peter Hu have joined again after Blizzard North to work on a new-age ARPG under MoonBeast Productions. They have finally unveiled the name of their new project - Darkhaven.
All 3 of these guys worked with David Brevik and several others on Diablo 1 and 2. Erich and Peter worked on Torchlight 1 and 2 and Hellgate London. Peter also worked on Marvel Heroes Online, may it rest in peace (though there is a project to get it back online).
Being a massive Diablo 1 and 2 fan, I'm overly excited to see how this goes. It's a long, long, long way off of course, but I'll be keeping a close eye on this one. I've been addicted to Path of Exile for over 13 years now and 16k+ hours, and these guys were who inspired (and in some ways helped) Chris and his team to make it and keep it going and evolving. Now these guys getting back together is just so exciting.
Speaking of PoE - long-time PoE streamer Zizaran interviewed the MoonBeast guys a few months ago, great watch if you have some time.
