Nice, I suck so bad at genji. Everytime I play him in Quick Play to learn people say they are reporting me :(

Don't listen to haters. QP is however not ideal to practise new heroes. I used to do deathmatch for mechanics and then jump into Comp and I elt like it worked well for me.

Honestly I have never played much of the other game modes outside of quick play and mystery heroes. I play mostly mystery heroes but I never get the opportunity to use an ult or find the best one...

Mystery heroes is was my favorite warm up method. Absolutely no stakes because 85% of games' outcome is pure happenstance.

Nothing like asking people to group in QP until you have a six stack of cooperative people, though. Getting everyone on comms makes it a different game entirely.

If you want to get good at different characters you already have to embrace not caring about your skill rating. Best thing I ever did was conciously avoid looking at my rating between games....

Deathmatch is comp only now, wtf. That is is going against the exact reason the started DM in the beginning.

They still have it rotating in the arcade, I think? Anyway, competitive DM is essentially the same thing, you're just farming small amounts of comp points out of it. I think it's a good change!...

Aaaaand that's why I don't play multiplayer since the last 10 years. I'm over 30yo and a quick match in overwatch is not gonna be my first priority. Seeing people telling me something like this...

I just let them talk. The most I will ever respond is to tell them to report as hard as they want, it's not gonna make me magically not suck at a hero. More than likely their rage hurts them a lot...

There are a lot of toxic people. The group system and player notoriety system they have in the PTR right no is going to be great, I think.

Bahaha, no worries man. Ignore the haters. Quick Play is the best place to learn. Playing the hero you want to practice isn't an offense you can be banned for, so Blizzard has your back there....

Bahaha, no worries man. Ignore the haters. Quick Play is the best place to learn. Playing the hero you want to practice isn't an offense you can be banned for, so Blizzard has your back there. People can definitely be salty and toxic, especially when they feel like they're being held back. It sucks.

But! I've also had some really awesome games with great folks. I think the new grouping system that is in the PTR right now is going to have a huge impact on game toxicity. If you haven't checked it out, you should! They have even implemented a way to commend players at the end of a match for good sportsmanship, good teamwork, or good shot calling. I think it's going to encourage better behavior overall. The grouping system allows you to set a minimum on the 'commendment' points, so you can have a better chance of finding a group of cooperative players.

Nice. I haven't played in months. How is the meta looking right now. When I last played it was shifting from dive.

I'd call it shield meta. Brigitte has done a lot to quash the dive heavy meta. Hanzo got re-worked and feels pretty great, and you no longer have to deal with scatter arrow. Big Symmetra changes...

Big Symmetra changes are in the PTR as well as a new grouping / player rating system that is going to help avoid toxic people.

I think it's in a good spot. Zarya+Rein is really strong again. People are using more shields. There are a lot of interrupty things happening.. haha.
