He's the kind of person who had to be told you shouldn't be ball-tapping your employees, so I have to question how effective "training" is going to be.

I don't know if executives getting lighter punishments than the rest is necessarily exclusive to Riot. It seems like a common problem nowadays.
If any of us got a reputation for engaging in this sort of behavior at work, we'd be unemployable. This asshole should suffer the same fate.
