Risk of Rain 2 is a rogue lite game with permanent death and procedurally generated dungeons. I played this game for the first time last night with my wife and brother-in-law. I haven't had this much fun since Diablo.
There's a lot of content the developers are working on and it certainly isn't complete yet. Despite the early access, the co-op play has been incredibly fun. I'm excited to see how this game develops and would encourage others to see whether this might be a game you'd enjoy.
I loved the first one purely down to the ridiculous item combos. How you press one button, and after thirty seconds of horrible lag. Every enemy on the screen has died in a huge chain reaction....

However it was always a little buggy and the multiplayer was an afterthought. I would have loved it if they simply remade the original, but stepped up the performance.
Perhaps this new one is faster, but adding that extra dimension reduces the number of enemies you could have on screen at once, I'm sure.
