Using the in-game framerate cap seems to result in uneven frame pacing and screen tearing. Turning on the games vsync option adds very obvious mouse lag even at 144 FPS.

The best solution I've found is to uncap the framerate and turn off vsync. I don't believe this actually solves the problem, it just makes the tearing and frame pacing harder to notice because the game is literally running at 900 frames per second.

Another oddity, external framerate capping tools do not work at all, which is just super weird. Not even the Nvidia driver is able to enforce a framerate cap (which it does for all games in G-Sync mode to keep them from going over the max refresh rate of your display). I tried EVGA Precision X and a few other common tools in Windows, and I even tried using libstrangle in Linux but the game seems to just not give a fuck.

These issues have made this a pretty disappointing port for me, and if they don't get resolved I'll likely go back to some of the fan re-creations and ports like BloodGDX.

Have you contacted them and told them about the problem? I have no personal experience with these devs, but I've heard they're reponsive to bug reports.

No problem. I hope they fix it.
