Really sad and heartbreaking but not surprising. League of Legends is probably my favorite or second favorite esport (close tie with Smash Ultimate) and with every new article it gets harder and harder to support the competitive league. I wish they had taken the valve route and let other companies run the esports portion and only focused on the game. The league of legends esports scene would probably look very different, but at least then I could enjoy the competitive scene without directly supporting Riot (which I know is a selfish and small-scale reason to want that, there's lots of other reasons I wish they went this route but that's not important for this topic)
